Debbie Waite is a painter and ceramicist from Blairgowrie on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
Her background was initially in Graphic Design, followed by an extensive career teaching Art, Ceramics and Photography in secondary schools in Melbourne and Sydney.
Debbie has been inspired from her travels in Italy and Sicily to paint a series of vibrant, tonal still life paintings based on Italian café and restaurant scenes. Her art reflects a passion for colour and design, tone and texture in her paintings, ceramic and textiles, reflecting her love of fruits, flowers and birds.
Debbie is also a wedding celebrant and runs art and ceramic workshops in her studio.
